A TRIP TO LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles (“City of Los Angeles”), the third largest city in the US in populaton, is a rich agricultural, commercial and industrial center, world renowned for its outstanding points of interest, fascinating scenery, motion picture and television famous studios, stars and producers, and for the magnificent sights in some of the adjacent communities and in the atractive , colorful beaches along the ocean.
While in Los Angeles I visited:
1. The civic Center with the imposing towering City Hall. The historic Mission Church and old Plaza where “El pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Log Angeles de Porcinúncula” started in 1781; the tropical Mexican one block long Olvera Street in which is the oldest adobe house in Los Angeles – “Avila House”.
2. Hollywood – “the Movie Capita of the World”. I went to Hollywood where I could see the so famous “Chinese Theater”, the 60-acre Hollywood Bowl and the well-known natural amphitheatre of “Pilgrimage Play Theater”. I visited, too, the luxurious residential Beverly Hiss where many of the internationally famous stage and screen stars and composers love.
3 – Disneyland where I spent and entire Sunday giving up by imagination this sometimes so rough world of every reality , to live for some peaceful , sweet hours in the charming fairy-tale world of fantasy. I became a child again and had a truly wonderful time in Frontierland, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrow land. This almost 200 acre playground is a “Magic Kingdom, indeed, that combines fantasy and history, adventure and learning, together with every variety of recreation and fun designed to appeal to everyone”, to quote Diney’s own words.
